    Managing Partner

    Max Sharkansky, co-founder and managing partner, oversees all aspects of acquisition, disposition, and property analysis for Trion Properties. Since the firm’s founding in 2005, Max has led the acquisition, renovation and disposition of more than $1 Billion in mismanaged, distressed, or under-valued multifamily assets yielding an average IRR in excess of 25%.

    Max, along with partner Mitch Paskover, initially formed the Company to acquire properties in Los Angeles. Max led Trion in the execution of several acquisitions in the firm’s first two years of existence, exiting the portfolio prior to the economic crisis. With cash on hand and no resources tied up in workouts, Max led an acquisition strategy of targeting distressed debt secured by multifamily REO’s, which led to the ultra-successful campaign of the acquisition of 20 properties throughout the downturn. Since the recovery, Trion has shifted strategies to the acquisition of value-add properties where value can be created through extensive renovations, hands-on management, and improvement of operating efficiencies. Max’s ability to identify then acquire distressed multifamily properties and his expertise in the marketplace have been instrumental in the success of Trion Properties.

    Prior to co-founding Trion Properties, Max was a Senior Associate at Marcus & Millichap from 2002-2006 where he managed the sale of several million dollars in real estate throughout the United States, specifically in the multifamily arena, elevating him to one of the top-ranking brokers in Los Angeles.

    Max graduated from Loyola Marymount University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Finance.

    Managing Partner

    Mitch Paskover, co-founder of Trion Properties, has responsibility for the financial activities of the firm, including work on acquisitions, dispositions, asset management and expansion planning. Paskover brings his 18 years of experience in the multifamily industry to bear on this role. Since co-founding Trion in 2006, he has helped direct the acquisitions of 42 properties consisting of over 2,050 units valued at $350 million. He was also instrumental in the raising of Trion’s first fund, Trion Opportunity Fund I.

    During the course of his career in commercial real estate, Paskover has been involved in over $2 billion in commercial real estate transactions. Prior to co-founding Trion Properties, Paskover was a Managing Director in the Los Angeles office of HFF. His primary focus was on debt and equity transactions including multifamily, office, retail and hospitality properties, with an emphasis on multifamily.

    As a company leader, Paskover values Trion’s relationships, strong reputation, and employees as keys to its continuing growth and success. He takes pride in the positive returns Trion has created for its investors.

    Paskover is a recognized industry expert, serving as a panelist and moderator at high-level commercial real estate conferences, as well as an industry spokesperson in major national media. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a Finance concentration, and is a licensed California Real Estate Broker.

    Farhan Mahmood is a Partner heading up West Coast Acquisitions at Trion Properties and is responsible for sourcing, structuring, and financing Trion Properties investment opportunities. Farhan has more than 17 years of real estate experience, including over 10 years at Trion Properties. During his time at Trion, Farhan has sourced and acquired over $1 Billion in real estate with an average IRR of over 30% at his time at Trion.

    Prior to working at Trion Properties, Farhan was involved in distressed debt note sales through the global financial crisis, having sold over $500MM in non-performing debt. Farhan began his career in the real estate consulting practice at Duff & Phelps.

    A native of Southern California, Farhan graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Real Estate Development, Real Estate Finance and Marketing. Farhan is based out of the West Hollywood office.

    As Managing Director, Capital Markets, Andrew Lucas is responsible for sourcing new investors and maintaining relationships with current Trion Investors. Andrew has extensive experience in finance, investor relations, and both commercial and residential real estate. He has spent his career being a trusted resource for his clients.

    Prior to joining Trion, Andrew was a Vice President at Wilshire Finance Partners where he led the firm’s capital raising efforts. Andrew was instrumental in the launch and growth of two real estate debt funds and in establishing relationships with multiple institutional companies. Before moving to Wilshire, Andrew was a multifamily real estate broker at Colliers International and was a key member of Colliers’ top-producing brokerage team in greater Los Angeles.

    He began his career as a loan officer with NVR Mortgage where he originated and closed residential purchase mortgages for Ryan Homes, one of the nation’s largest homebuilders. While at NVR Andrew was inducted into the prestigious President’s Club which honors achievements in capture rate, customer service, and profitability.

    Andrew is active in his community and is a board member of The Wildwoods Foundation, a Los Angeles-based non-profit, and was the head coach of Pepperdine University’s Men’s Club Lacrosse team from 2012-2014.

    Andrew holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Baltimore and a Bachelor Degree in Communications from the University of North Carolina.

    Rudy Boroomand, Chief Financial Officer, is responsible for all accounting, financial reporting, HR, and administrative functions for Trion Properties and its affiliated companies. He has more than a decade of experience in real estate from managing banking relationships, investor reporting, treasury management, systems management & implementation, lender compliance, and the timely completion of partnership tax returns and delivery of K-1s to investors. Since joining Trion Properties, Rudy has implemented appropriate internal controls, established policies and procedures, materially improved financial reporting, and has proven to be a vital asset to the acquisitions, leasing, property management, and executives at Trion.

    Prior to joining Trion Properties, Rudy was the corporate controller for Realty Mogul, the leading online crowdfunding company sourcing debt and equity investments for accredited high net-worth individuals. During his tenure, he was responsible for all accounting and HR functions for this newly formed start up and worked closely with the asset management and operations teams on reviewing sponsor provided financials, completing routine updates to investors, and general ad hoc financial support. Before working at Realty Mogul, Rudy was the corporate controller for National Asset Services. Alongside the company’s founder, he helped start this $2bilion asset and property management company that represents over 90 ownership groups. In his role, he was responsible for both corporate and partnership reporting, worked closely with outside tax firms on the timely completion of partnership tax returns, provided financial support to the asset management team, handled all HR matters, and worked closely with the sponsor’s court appointed trustee on all financial and compliance matters.

    Originally born in Michigan, Rudy and his family moved to southern California when he was a young child. He graduated from California State University Northridge where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.

    Born and raised in Santa Monica, California, Max Sanchez was first introduced to real estate in November of 2000 as an assistant for a privately owned property management company based out of Hollywood. Sanchez quickly moved up from administrative assistant to property management which gave him a background in all aspects of property management, including construction, leasing, marketing, and general operations. Following his stint in third party management, Sanchez went in-house to a condo converter where he polished his skills in construction management and cost efficiencies.

    Sanchez joined Trion Properties in 2007. He is currently the Director of Operations for the firm. He oversees over 500 multifamily units and over 40,000 feet of commercial throughout California and supervises over 25 employees. He oversees all property management for the company and acts as the Project Manager for all of Trion Properties’ assets.

    Simon joined Trion in 2016 and is responsible for overseeing project constructions and renovations. He is an astute observer of nature with a predilection for anticipating problems. Dedicated to the future growth of the company he’s also a reliable source for fine dining suggestions.

    Simon Leonov, unlike his family lineage, did not become a dentist. Instead, he graduated with a degree in Psychobiology from UCLA and then got his JD from Southwestern Law school.

    Frank joined Trion Properties to help develop, implement and oversee the marketing strategy and digital marketing operations. With a background as a writer, graphic designer, and digital marketer, Frank oversees the organization’s investor-facing brand marketing including email, SEO, SEM, webinars, social media, and website content. He is responsible for the corporate brand and lead generation.

    Frank has worked in all areas of communications from advertising, public relations, editorial, media production, and corporate communications; for public and private companies; from Fortune 100 firms including Merrill Lynch, Blue Cross & Blue Shield, CapCities ABC to startups in the tech and finance industries. He worked with Google to help spearhead Google Mortgage, created social media campaigns for CBS Sports and the US Olympics®, and written and produced podcasts for major record labels.

    A native New Yorker, Frank now resides in Los Angeles. He began his career as a playwright and continues to write scripts for film, television, and podcasts in his spare time, or cooking and dining out with his wife.

    Kareline Deker has been part of Trion Properties since 2013, she is responsible for developing & implementing strategic marketing campaigns for our new assets and setting-up advertising budgets. Kareline tracks and analyses leasing and advertising analytics to maximize occupancy and rent value for all of our properties and 3000+ units. She oversees our websites, third-party marketing platforms and closely follows trends of our growing portfolio nationwide.

    Kareline has 10 years of Property Management experience and has had many different roles at Trion.

    Born and raised in the south of France, Kareline is trilingual speaking French, English & Armenian. She is a licensed Notary Public in the State of California and has a marketing certification from UCLA.

    David Moghavem is responsible for sourcing, structuring, and financing Trion Properties investment opportunities. Born and raised in Los Angeles, David has a keen knowledge for submarkets in the area and continues to source ground-up development opportunities for the firm. David is also responsible for sourcing value-add investment opportunities in select markets. David is a member of several networking and social groups in the industry, and is a cabinet member of the Jewish Federation Real Estate Chapter. Prior to joining Trion, David developed a strong underwriting experience from previously working at George Smith Partners as an analyst, performing both debt and equity modeling on various commercial properties. He then joined Trion’s acquisition team in 2015 and has grown with the firm ever since. David graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a dual emphasis in Real Estate Development and Real Estate Finance. David has also taken various real estate development courses at University of California Los Angeles. David also works on value-add multifamily opportunities with his family, owning over 30 units in greater LA. In his free time, David enjoys cooking “farm to table”, harvesting his own produce and herbs and integrating them into in his dishes. David also enjoys swimming, surfing, yoga, and golf. As an LA native, David is and avid Laker and Rams fan.

    Jorge joined Trion Properties in 2018 as a Senior Property Management Associate. He comes with over 9 years’ of experience in the industry working in both conventional and non-conventional properties. He has overseen multiple assets in various regions that include, Los Angeles, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Santa Monica, San Fernando Valley and the Inland Empire. Jorge has extensive experience in operations dealing with ongoing projects, renovations, capital improvements, onsite development and conflict resolution.

    Jorge is responsible for the day to day operations of both the California and Oregon multi-family portfolio. His duties include the training, development and onboarding of new employees. He assists the operations team with the implementation of new company practices, new hires, due diligence of new acquisitions, dispositions, budget preparations, portfolio reviews, problem resolutions as well as property site visits.

    Jorge holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Biological Science from the University of California, Irvine. Jorge worked in bio research; conducting dissections, homogenizations, as well as electrophoresis. He shifted gears from Bio Research to his now career in in property management in 2009. He began as a property manager and rapidly moved up the corporate ladder. If you ask him what keeps in the field, he will tell you “I enjoy that in this industry, there is a never a dull moment. There is always a new fire to put out each and every day.”

    Matt oversees property management operations for the company’s east coast expansion. He has more than two decades of real estate experience in multifamily, student housing, commercial retail, industrial, and light industrial market segments.

    Prior to joining Trion Properties, Matt served a dual role as Director of Property Management and Property Management Project Manager for Goldrich Kest, Los Angeles, where he was jointly responsible for a portfolio of 12,000 multifamily units and 5,000 yacht slips stretching from San Francisco to San Diego.

    Matt has held memberships with the National Apartment Association (NAA), the California Apartment Association (CAA), and the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). He holds an Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) certification from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), a California Real Estate Salesperson’s license, and is a licensed Broker in the State of Florida.

    A Detroit native, Matt now resides in Miami and can be found working on a song with his daughter in his home recording studio, or jogging with his wife.

    Erika’s career in property management began in 1997 and has extensive experience in leasing, eviction, and property accounting. Prior to joining Trion in 2022, she worked at companies including Greystone Management, Vibe Properties and Douglass Emmett, expanding her real estate experience into Class-A commercial building and luxury residential properties.

    Erika attended the Universidad de Mariano Galvez in Guatemala before moving to LA. She enjoys gardening and listening to podcasts.

    Adrie focuses on sourcing deals throughout the southeast focused primarily on Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas. Adrie’s expertise includes various property types spanning both commercial and multifamily investments with experience covering office, retail, hospitality, industrial, condo and apartment investments during construction, acquisition, refinancing and even distressed loan sales.

    Prior to Trion, he worked in J.P. Morgan’s securitized products group as part of its residential mortgage-backed securities trading business before moving to Newmark’s Debt and Structured Finance team. Adrie has underwritten billions of dollars worth of transactions across hundreds of deals.

    In addition to his professional career in commercial real estate, Adrie followed both his parents into military service. He is currently serving as a commissioned officer in the New York Army National guard reserves where he is a unit commander.

    Lauren Feder is our Acquisitions Analyst. Her main responsibility is to underwrite potential acquisitions presented to Trion, inspect various due diligence items during escrow, and facilitate closing process during refinance or sale.

    Prior to joining Trion, Lauren was a member of the JRK Property Holdings Hotel Group, a real estate private equity firm located in Los Angeles. During her time with the JRK Hotel Group, she assisted in management and operations of the firm’s portfolio of branded and independent hotel properties.

    Lauren received a Master’s Degree in Hotel Administration from the Cornell Hotel School and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the China Europe International Business School.

    Oleg Enik joined Trion Properties in December 2020. In October 2021, he transitioned into the acquisitions department as an acquisitions analyst. Oleg has worked at various real estate industry companies including a mortgage fund where he sourced new hard money loan opportunities. He holds a CA Real Estate Salesperson license.

    Originally from Moscow, Oleg moved to the U.S. when he was 11 and is fluent in English and Russian. He attended Loyola Marymount University. In his free time, Oleg enjoys mountain biking, camping, and any kind of activity that involves being in nature.

    Martha has more than 10 years of experience in Real Estate accounting, since emigrating to the States, she has developed a specialization in this field, from Receivership in 2008, through large real estate companies, like Goldrich & Kest Industries, as senior accountant.

    Beginning her accounting career in her native Mexico City as internal auditor for Industrias Vinicolas Pedro Domecq, the largest wines & spirits manufacturing and commercializing company in Latin America, she also has accounting experience in other industries, including business management firms in Los Angeles like Dunn, Pariser & Peyrot and Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman, where they handle the financial lives of actors, produces, musicians and athletes; she was a senior accountant and account manager at these firms.

    Martha also has a Master’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (Herbology and Acupuncture.) Her passion is alternative medicine, nutrition, playing chess, hiking, and rock climbing.

    Moiz completed his Bachelor’s in Accounting and Finance from H.R. College of Commerce & Economics, and a Master’s in Commerce from Mumbai University both located in Mumbai, India.

    Moiz moved to the U.S. in 2015 to pursue his career in accounting and finance. He got his first opportunity in the US with Cirrus, a real estate management firm, based in Woodland Hills, California. He has taken a liking to the industry with more than six years of real estate accounting and analyst experience.

    Moiz’s hobbies include playing table tennis, chess and poker, and is always down for an adventure as well!

    Felipe focuses on sourcing and evaluating deals throughout the southeast in Trion’s Miami office. Felipe previously worked at Pensam Capital where he was involved in the closing of over $800M worth of deals on both the capital markets and equity sides for multifamily assets.

    He is a native of Miami and holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Michigan. While in Michigan he served as Vice President of the Spanish Club and President of the Korean Food Club. Felipe enjoys playing pick-up basketball, guitar, concerts, and Miami sporting events. He is known to perform open mic standup comedy on occasion.

    Nicolette joined Trion Properties in 2019 to assist in the facilitation and execution of all administrative responsibilities in the office and provide support to area/regional managers and fellow staff. Her duties range from preparing bank deposits and credit card payments, to coordinating office events and guest relations.

    Originally form New York, Nicolette moved to LA after graduating early with her bachelor’s degree in broadcasting and a professional writing certificate from the University of Central Florida. When she’s not at Trion, you can find her acting, hiking, or cuddling with her dog and a book. However, no matter what the occasion, it’s almost guaranteed Nicolette is dressed up and on the go somewhere.

    Slava has 20-plus years of experience in accounting, specifically Accounts Payable in various industries. Enjoys challenges and problem-solving.

    Bryanna joined Trion properties in 2022 as a Property Management Associate. She oversees vendor and tenant relations as well as other property management operations for the company’s West Coast properties. Born and raised in Los Angeles, she grew up in property management and real estate. She learned a lot from her mom managing properties and being a Real Estate Agent.

    Prior to Trion, Bryanna worked at Los Angeles Property Management Group for 3 years where she grew her experience in property management. She also managed a portfolio of 100+ units dealing with day-to-day operations.

    When Bryanna’s not at Trion, you can always find her reading or watching movies and shows, she’s a Cinemaholic! Bryanna also enjoys traveling with her husband to eat and explore!

    Nicole joined Trion Properties in 2022 as our Payroll Specialist, where her main responsibility is to ensure a smooth payroll process occurs on a biweekly basis, as well as entering and maintaining accurate bookings for the accounting portion of the payroll. Her payroll career began in 2016, where she got her start at Intuit QuickBooks Payroll, providing internal payroll customer support. Most recently, Nicole worked for Tutor Perini Corporation, where she facilitated payroll for 200+ employees on a weekly basis, as well as providing precise Certified Payroll records to the owner of the project. Nicole earned her Associate degree from Dixie State University in Southern Utah and will soon graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California Baptist University.

    Nicole is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. Growing up, she spent abundant time outdoors, hiking in the mountains of northern Utah, as well as the beautiful national parks of Southern Utah. After deciding the Utah winters weren’t for her, she relocated to sunny Los Angeles in 2019, which she now considers “home”. In her free time, she enjoys trying new restaurants, cooking, wine tasting, or enjoying the beach.

    Hari joins Trion’s accounting team as a Junior Accountant where he maintains books for company expenditures and accounts. Originally from New Delhi, India, Hari is a recent graduate of UCLA, where he studied Mathematics and Economics. He is fluent in English, Hindi, and Malayalam.

    Hari has embraced LA as his ‘second home’ and supports the Rams, Lakers, Dodgers, and Kings. In his free time, Hari loves to play poker, and cricket. Hari grew up playing cricket, which prompted his active role in the process of the formation of the UCLA Cricket Club.

    As Project Management Associate, Joaquin works alongside the project management team to coordinate value-add construction to Trion’s acquisitions. Joaquin maintains relationships with property managers, repair technicians, and third-party vendors for ongoing and previous renovations.

    With a background in family-owned residential construction and a most recent work experience as an estimator in heavy civil, Joaquin has graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering at CSU Sacramento.

    From South LA, Joaquin grew up playing sports, particularly soccer and volleyball. He now plays futsal from time to time.

    Nick Paskhover is an analyst on the west coast acquisitions team where he evaluates potential acquisitions. Nick began his career with Trion in 2020 in the marketing department where he produced promotional and educational videos that highlighted the company’s real estate portfolio, management philosophies, and investment strategies. As Nick’s passion and interest in the real estate business continued to grow, he transitioned into his current role.

    Nick graduated from the University of Southern California with a double major in business administration and cinematic arts. Born and raised in Los Angeles to Ukrainian Jewish immigrants, Nick grew up speaking both Russian and English. In his spare time, he enjoys making films and rooting for the LA Lakers.
